Student Volunteers

Do you want to meet and listen to your favourite researchers? Are you interested in the state-of-the-art mobile HCI research? Would you like to have a look behind the stage of a conference?

MobileHCI has previously provided opportunities for students to learn to know the mobile HCI community and enjoy the company of other student volunteers. The conference organisers have been very happy about this mutually beneficial collaboration.

Also this year, we invite full-time students to act as Student Volunteers. They will receive free registration, optional cheap accommodation, and a possibility to participate in the end-of-conference party in exchange for approximately 20 hours of work during the conference.

Application process

CLOSED.

Between March 1 and May 7, 2006 a web based form for student volunteer applications was open on this website. The form included questions about interest in mobile HCI, and contact info. The deadline for the applications was May 7, 2006. We will select about 20 student volunteers in May 2006 as soon as we know the conference needs regarding the workshops, tutorials etc. You will receive a notification of acceptance by June 2, 2006. A waiting list will be organised, in case of cancellations.

As a student volunteer you'll need a valid, dated student identification card or a letter from your university or school to be presented when registering at the conference.
