In this workshop we aim to bring together the latest technology, multi-disciplinary research, and industry insights around context-aware mobile media. The objective is to share the knowledge, latest research and findings around the context-aware media in mobile devices, and to discuss the implications for further research and industry.

Our call is for position papers from the following broad topics:

  • Context-aware technology
  • Different media and context
  • User behavior and practices
  • New business around context-aware media
  • Metadata, tagging, and other forms of storing context with media
  • Privacy issues in context and media
  • Social networks as context for media

The attendance to the workshop will be limited to 25 people. Please

submit position papers within the guidelines described at the workshop webpage.

  • Position papers due: August 1st
  • Notification of acceptance: August 15th
  • Camera-ready versions: September 1st
  • Workshop date: September 12th

Please submit the position papers as PDF to Marko Turpeinen (marko.turpeinen(at)hiit.fi). All position papers will be reviewed.

Submissions will be selected on the basis of the significance of the work presented and with respect to how well they will help reach the aim of the workshop.
